Double Life Is In Development
Applications for DOUBLE LIFE | Issue 04 are now closed, and we are fully immersed in the development of our fourth issue of Artypants Magazine.
First—thank you. The volume, depth, and honesty of submissions we received this cycle has been unlike anything we’ve experienced before. It’s a reflection of a New England creative community that continues to show up with curiosity, vulnerability, and conviction.
This issue began with a prompt rooted in duality:
Double Life explores contradiction and transformation—
the visible and the hidden, logic and intuition, strength and softness.
Precision and mess. Exposure and concealment.
We invited artists to consider hidden roles, alter egos, private practices, and secret selves.
To examine the tension between work and play, output and restoration, survival and joy.
To ask: What if your ability to transform is the point?
To make us wonder who you are when no one is looking.
Our editorial team is now in the review process, thoughtfully moving through each submission. Artists will be notified of their involvement by early April.
This year’s selection process is being guided by a four-person panel/our current development team:
Maryann Gibbons, Founder & Editorial Director
Amy Parker, Editorial Design Support
Chandlyr Jackson, Brand Director
Elyse Dyment, Editorial Assistant
Together, we are considering each piece through multiple lenses—medium diversity, alignment with the Call for Art, how the work fits into the visual conversation with other selected pieces, whether the artist has been previously featured, and how the work will translate within a print publication.
As the issue takes shape, so does the world around it. We’re excited to share that DOUBLE LIFE will extend beyond the page with a show this May at our Ad Partner, The Frame Center. (More details on the exhibition and additional programming will be revealed soon.)
This is a moment of building—quiet, intentional, and full of momentum.
Thank you for being part of it.

Ad Partnership
This project is made possible through Ad Partnerships. We collaborate with brands and organizations we can meaningfully amplify—bringing attention to your distinct offerings through a shared, creative audience. Opportunities range from $250 placements to $1,100 full-page features. To explore, reach out at hello@artypantsmagazine.com.
In a digital-first world, choosing print is a deliberate act. It’s more costly to go analog, but we believe it’s worth it—to slow down, to hold, and to experience artwork on the page.
This is a moment of building—quiet, intentional, and full of momentum.
