Issue 03 FAQs

  • This issue will explore the theme of: Labyrinth. While we will uncovering hidden gems and artists across New England, we aim to see your work of discovery and transformation while inside or emerging from the maze of everyday life.

    We're seeking works that delve into this theme, whether through literal representations or more interpretive approaches—highlighting gateways to revelation, insight, and transformation.

    This theme invites readers to dig deep, uncover hidden truths, and ascend beyond. Whether you're trailblazing a new path or lifting the veil on a mystery, Labyrinth is about tapping into unseen potential and pushing through the maze to uncover the extraordinary.

    (If you feel it’s complicated to find a file that showcases your artwork, we welcome you to sync for 20 with Maryann virtually.)

  • After reviewing applications, some submissions may inspire us to take further action—whether to learn more about your creative process, what you're working on, or learn more about where you're headed.

    We're not afraid of a road trip!

    While we aim to stay true to the theme, we also want our readers to discover the artists, places, and spaces that inspire them.

  • Applications open on October 26th and close on December 31, 2024.

    Applicants will be notified by February 1, 2025, if they have been selected for inclusion in Artypants Magazine's third issue, which will be released in Spring 2025.
